Who is responsible for your information?

Sotogrande Guide is operated by Schellhammer Brokerage S.L., NIF B93210375. Our contact office is Avenida de la Marina 1, Sotogrande, Spain.

For privacy questions or requests, use our contact form o WhatsApp: +34 693 593 865. Please say that your request concerns Sotogrande Guide.

Enquiries

When you contact us, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, message and any attachments. Required fields are marked on the form; other information is optional. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is not needed for your enquiry.

We use these details only to respond to and manage your enquiry, including requests about listings, corrections, events and advertising. We do not use enquiry details for marketing or add enquirers to promotional mailing lists.

Our retention period for enquiry records is one year. Information that must be retained to meet a legal obligation or handle a legal claim is restricted to that purpose.

We process enquiries to take steps you request before a possible contract, where applicable, or for our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence and maintaining an accurate local guide.

Reviews and content you submit

If you submit a review or other material for publication, the published text, display name, rating and any photographs you agree to publish may be visible to other visitors. Contact details supplied privately are not intended for publication. Please do not include another person’s private information in a review.

Published reviews and editorial contributions are separate from enquiry correspondence. They may remain available as part of the guide, including clearly identified historical reviews. The one-year enquiry retention period does not automatically remove published reviews. Contact us to request a correction or removal; we assess requests in light of your rights and the context of the publication.

Website operation and external services

Website operation and security can involve technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and server logs. We use hosting and website service providers to deliver and protect the site.

The site uses Google Analytics for website statistics and Google reCAPTCHA to help protect contact forms against automated abuse. These services can process device, browser and interaction information. See Google’s privacy policy for its processing information.

We use WPConsent to manage cookie preferences. Google Analytics is blocked until you allow statistics cookies. You can accept or reject optional cookies, or use Preferences to choose. Reopen Cookie Preferences using the floating button to change your choice. Essential cookies remain enabled, including the cookie that remembers your preferences for 180 days. Browsing this website does not itself constitute consent. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. This website does not use Google AdSense advertising.

If you contact us on WhatsApp or follow links to social networks, booking services or other websites, those services process information under their own privacy policies. Some hotel links are Booking.com affiliate links, which may identify Sotogrande Guide as the referring website. Booking information you submit there is handled by the booking provider.

Sharing and international processing

Enquiry information is used by the team handling your request and the service providers needed to deliver the website and communications. It is not shared for third-party marketing. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

External providers, including Google and WhatsApp, may process information outside the European Economic Area. Their privacy information explains their processing locations and applicable transfer safeguards. Contact us if you need further information about a provider involved in your enquiry.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Contact us using the details above. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. Requests are normally free, and we normally respond within one month; if a permitted extension is needed, we will explain why.

You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD). Its guide to data protection rights explains the available rights.

Updates

We update this policy when the site’s processing changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
