Updated and checked 19 October 2026
The Pier is Taylor Wimpey’s apartment development beside Sotogrande Marina. Its appeal centres on the marina setting, terraces and shared residential facilities, rather than the launch timetable described in our original 2018 announcement.
Sales status: Taylor Wimpey’s Pier 2 page is currently marked sold out. That refers to the developer’s offer; it does not establish whether an individual owner has a resale or rental available.
Interested in buying or renting at The Pier? Contact Schellhammer Estates to discuss your requirements and request an up-to-date availability check at The Pier and elsewhere in Sotogrande Marina.
Image note: the original launch illustration is an archive promotional visual, not a photograph of a currently available home.
What the developer describes
The official Pier 2 material describes a gated marina development with communal pools and gardens, two- and three-bedroom apartments, terraces and underground parking and storage. It also records a B energy rating for the building.
Those are development-level descriptions. For a particular home, check its own floor plan, bedroom count, terrace orientation, parking title, storage allocation and current energy certificate.
Pier 1 and Pier 2
The developer uses separate Pier 1 and Pier 2 pages. Match the property address and phase to the correct documents rather than assuming that apartment numbers, specifications or plans from one page apply to every unit.

Assess the marina location in person
Walk the route from the building to the port, restaurants and the beach access you would use. Check the entrance, visitor parking and how you would manage shopping or luggage. A marina-facing description does not tell you the precise view, privacy or light from a particular terrace.
Our Neighbourhoods Guide helps compare the marina with Sotogrande Costa, Alto and nearby villages.
Questions for a resale viewing
- What exactly is included in the advertised price: parking, storage, furniture or other items?
- What are the current community charges, and are any additional works or payments approved?
- Can you see the apartment’s plans, property documents and energy certificate?
- What are the community rules for the intended use and access to shared facilities?
- What maintenance or alterations have been carried out since the original sale?
