Using the guide

We work to keep the guide useful and accurate. Opening hours, menus, prices, availability and event arrangements can change, so check important details with the business or organiser before visiting or booking. Older articles and dated reviews describe the circumstances at the time they were published.

A directory listing does not mean that we own, operate or guarantee the services of that business. Bookings and purchases made with a venue or an external booking platform are subject to that provider’s terms.

Reviews and community contributions

Reviews should describe a genuine personal experience. Please distinguish opinion from fact, disclose any connection to the business, and avoid abusive language, private personal information, misleading claims or material you do not have permission to share.

We may moderate, decline or remove contributions that breach these guidelines. We preserve reviewers’ words, ratings and dates; corrections can be requested through our contact form. A negative opinion alone is not a reason for removal. Contact us with the page address and an explanation if you believe a review is inaccurate, infringes your rights or contains personal information that should not be public.

Submitting photographs and articles

You retain ownership of material you create. When you submit material specifically for publication, you confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions, including permission for identifiable people where required.

For new submissions made under these terms, you give us non-exclusive permission to publish the accepted material in Sotogrande Guide and promote that feature through our associated channels. This includes reasonable cropping, formatting and editing that preserves the substance of your contribution. Separate commercial uses require a separate agreement. Submission does not guarantee publication or payment; any paid commission should be agreed in advance.

Please agree any requested credit or anonymous publication with us before publication. Ordinary enquiries sent through our contact form are not submissions for publication. You can contact us to discuss correcting or removing your contribution.

Advertising and affiliate links

Some hotel links are Booking.com affiliate links. We may receive a commission when a booking is made through them. Booking prices, payment conditions and cancellation terms are provided by the booking platform or accommodation provider.

Paid advertisements and sponsored features should be identified as such. Schellhammer Brokerage, which operates this guide, also provides property services and may be featured in our property content. The website does not use Google AdSense advertising.

Copyright and responsible use

Website text, photographs and branding belong to their respective owners. You are welcome to share links to our pages. Please obtain permission before republishing material unless your use is permitted by law. Do not use this website to distribute spam, introduce malicious software or interfere with its operation.

Privacy and cookies

Our Datenschutzbestimmungen explains how we handle enquiries, reviews and website data. Use the Cookie Preferences button to manage optional analytics cookies. Contact enquiries are used to respond to your request, not to add you to a marketing list.

Questions, complaints and applicable law

Please contact us first with any concern so that we can investigate and respond. These terms are governed by Spanish law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits your statutory consumer rights or removes your right to use the courts or authorities available to you under applicable law.

We may update these terms as the website develops. The date above identifies this version. Changes to contribution permissions apply to new submissions and do not retrospectively expand permissions for material already supplied.
